Congressmembers Urge Biden to Drop Charges Against Julian Assange

April 11, 2023 | Members of Congress sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland urging the Biden administration to drop charges against journalist Julian Assange and withdraw the extradition request.

Assange is facing 175 years in prison for reporting US war crimes.

The lawmakers pointed out that the Washington Post and the New York Times also published the information.
