According to their website, “DARPA pursues opportunities for transformational change rather than incremental advances. It does so collaboratively as part of a robust innovation ecosystem that includes academic, corporate, and governmental partners.”
Therefore, it makes sense that this agency provided funding for a study of environmental warfare known as Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI). In the acknowledgements section of the 22 May 2023 article entitled, “Assessing Outcomes in Stratospheric Aerosol Injection Scenarios Shortly After Deployment,” the author’s state: “This work was supported by the LAD Climate Fund, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA, Grant HR00112290071)…”
Further disclosed information regarding the author: Daniel M. Hueholt: “was additionally supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (Grant 006784). This material is based upon work supported by NCAR, which is a major facility sponsored by NSF under Cooperative Agreement no. 1852977. The GLENS experiment was supported by DARPA funding, and ARISE by SilverLining through the Safe Climate Research Initiative. CESM2 (WACCM6) Historical was produced by NCAR. The CESM project is supported primarily by NSF.”

Models and scenarios presented in the paper reflect the belief in the CO2 climate theory. [What percent of our atmosphere is CO2? (( .04% )) If we get below .02% plant life starts dying.]
Repeated relentlessly by grant dependent academics in every SAI research article is the notion that the science is not well understood.
However, with the focus on the intention of reducing the Earth’s temperature by 1 or 2 degrees, there is an astounding absence of ethics and moral values pertaining to the impact of injecting harmful substances into the air.
[The myopic focus of many academics is collecting grant money and dismissing harmful consequences of intentionally polluting our atmosphere with harmful aerosols. Pollution is the problem, not Earth’s temperature.]
To provide some historical perspective, DARPA and NSF have been involved in the investigation of weather and climate modification, or more accurately, environmental warfare, for decades:
