U.S. House passes “hate speech” bill in violation of 1st Amendment

May 3, 2024 |  “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” –First Amendment

Congressmembers passed a “hate speech” bill that stands in direct conflict with the First Amendment guarantee to freedom of speech. H.R. 6090, the “Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2023” attempts to define and demand certain beliefs with regard to religion.

Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are a cornerstone of America’s Constitution. The use of the term “antisemitism” is being weaponized to try and prevent legitimate criticism of Netanyahu’s war and Congressional complicity in war crimes by continuing to fund violence and destruction in Gaza.
