Study Confirms “5G” Causes Symptoms of Microwave Sickness

Typical symptoms of microwave syndrome include neurological symptoms, tinnitus, fatigue, insomnia, emotional distress, skin disorders, and blood pressure variability.

The researchers found that most symptoms decrease or disappear when the exposure is discontinued.

This study confirms that current guidelines do not protect human health and the urgent need for the enactment of safety standards based on the current state of the science.

 


 

First study to date: 5G causes microwave syndrome

The first ever study of the health effects of 5G radiation on humans shows that 5G causes typical symptoms of microwave syndrome and a massive increase in microwave radiation. The case study also confirms once again that radiation far below levels allowed by the authorities causes ill health.

The study was published in the journal Medical Access No. 1/ 2022 and later also in English in Annals of Case Reports and was conducted by cancer doctor and researcher Lennart Hardell from the Swedish Research Foundation Environment & Cancer and Mona Nilsson from the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation. The study concerns the health impacts of a man and a woman who received a 5G base station directly above their apartment, only 5 meters above their bedroom.

Measurements before and after the installation of 5G on the roof showed that 5G caused a massive increase in radiation in the apartment. Before 5G, there were already 3G or 4G base stations in the same location directly above the apartment, but switching to 5G technology increased the radiation from 9,000 microW/m2 to a maximum of over 2,500,000 microW/m2.

The symptoms experienced by the man and the woman after the start of 5G are typical of microwave syndrome: fatigue, difficulty sleeping, emotional impact, nosebleeds, increased tinnitus and skin problems for the man. The woman had more symptoms than the man with severe sleep disturbance and dizziness, followed by skin problems (burning sensation, tingling of the skin on the hands and arms), concentration problems, irritability, tinnitus, balance problems, impaired short-term memory, confusion, fatigue, tendency to depression, heart and lung symptoms (palpitations, feeling of heaviness in the chest) and feeling of warmth in the body. All symptoms decreased or disappeared completely within 24 hours after moving to another residence with significantly lower radiation levels.

The microwave syndrome

What is shown in this first ever study on the health effects of microwave radiation from 5G is consistent with the symptoms described over 50 years ago as an effect of whole body exposure to microwave radiation and called the microwave syndrome. The microwave syndrome is a recognized term internationally and in Sweden, known as “electromagnetic sensitivity” (ES), for those who react to very low levels of radiofrequency radiation and develop particularly high sensitivity. It has been repeatedly described that the typical symptoms of microwave syndrome disappear when exposure is stopped or greatly reduced, as in this new study.

“Researchers who conducted scientific studies of occupational microwave exposure described symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, headaches, difficulty sleeping, concentration and memory problems. These symptoms were associated with exposure to radio waves or microwaves. It was found that the symptoms generally subsided when exposure ceased.”

Sensitivity to microwave radiation is individual. Even very low levels of radiation can cause medical symptoms in particularly sensitive people (electrosensitive/ES).

5G increases radiation enormously

In addition to showing that 5G causes microwave syndrome quite immediately, the case study also shows that 5G leads to a massive increase in radiation in our environment. There was already a 3G or 4G base station in the same location above the couple’s bedroom, but the replacement of the equipment and the deployment of 5G led to an explosion of measured radiation.

The extremely high values measured in the home, a maximum of 1,690,000 microW/m2, are still significantly lower than the current reference values recommended by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM): 10,000,000 microW/m2 averaged over 6 minutes, which means that the maximum value can be allowed to be significantly higher than 10,000,000 microW/m2. The SSM reference value does not protect against the symptoms that characterize the microwave syndrome, nor against cancer and other chronic diseases. This is why ill health can occur even though the radiation is far below the reference value:

“SSM’s reference values do not protect against harmful effects, such as the microwave syndrome or cancer, during long-term exposure from base stations, as is the case with exposure in homes, offices or schools. It only applies to protection against immediate effects resulting from radiation so intense that tissues are heated within 30 minutes. This means that the public is completely unprotected against effects other than acute thermal effects, even though these have been widely demonstrated, such as adverse effects on the nervous system, oxidative stress and DNA damage.”

Already in 2018, the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation concluded that 5G would lead to a huge increase in microwave radiation. This new study and measurements in recent years confirm this.

No research shows that 5G is safe for health and the environment

Lennart Hardell and Mona Nilsson write in this first case study on the effects of 5G that it is remarkable that “there are no scientific studies showing that there is no risk of harmful health effects from chronic exposure to radiation from base stations at levels corresponding to SSM’s reference value, or at the levels measured in this case study. This applies to 5G as well as 4G, 3G and GSM. There are still no studies on the risks of radiation from both 4G and/or 5G during the 24 hours of the day. This case study is the first of its kind on the effects of human exposure to 5G, so claiming that exposure to radiation does not pose a risk because it is lower than SSM’s reference value has no scientific basis.”

In an earlier article in 2021, Mona Nilsson stated:

“There is no research showing that chronic whole-body exposure to the levels of microwave radiation that have become commonplace from 3G, 4G or 5G base stations does not cause health hazards. This is the shocking truth that is being hidden from the public…. there is no research showing that whole-body exposure to 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G for prolonged periods of time, even for just one year, does not cause health hazards. Neither at reference value levels nor even at levels 1000 times lower.”

The number of people affected is unknown

The number of people in Sweden affected by the microwave syndrome/ES/sensitivity is currently unknown. It has not been investigated. However, it can be expected that the number of affected people will increase with the chronic and increasing exposure to microwaves due to the expansion of 4G, 5G and increased use of wireless technologies that emit microwaves for communication. This is especially true for modulated and pulsed microwaves, which have been shown to be particularly harmful.

In 2016, a group of scientists and doctors recommended that maximum daytime exposure should be 100, nighttime 10 and a maximum of 1 microW/m2 for particularly sensitive people.

But neither that recommendation, nor the IARC cancer classification of radiation in 2011, nor the fact that health harms have been repeatedly observed at exposures significantly lower than the current reference values recommended by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, have had any effect on the lax regulatory framework of the authorities and the government. Despite extensive evidence of harms to health, microwave radiation in the environment is increasing dramatically and the manifestly wrong reference value continues to be applied despite its proven lack of protection against microwave syndrome and many other health harms.

The medical profession must be educated

Lennart Hardell and Mona Nilsson conclude by stating that microwave syndrome and ES must be taken seriously by health professionals.

‘This is not a mental illness. A variety of somatic symptoms are part of the microwave syndrome and chronic diseases including cancer are a hazard with chronic exposure. The symptoms must be investigated to rule out other causes, microwave radiation may be one. Careful medical history must be taken to investigate different sources of microwave radiation. In addition, the investigation should be supplemented by measurements of radiation both in the home and in the workplace, taking into account the great difference in sensitivity between individuals.

Patients must be treated with respect, investigated, medically diagnosed and treated, whereby elimination or reduction of the disease-causing factor, i.e. exposure, is most important. This should be done early in the course of the disease to prevent harm and/or irreversible damage and chronic disease. Since there is a high level of ignorance about the microwave syndrome, both in the medical profession and among the general public, and thus a presumably large number of unreported cases, the medical profession must be educated and the syndrome must be given a uniform ICD code in order to monitor future developments. The values measured in the apartment after the installation of 5G on the roof make the apartment uninhabitable from a medical point of view, taking into account known health effects, even though the radiation is significantly below the current reference values.”

The phrase “cognitive warfare” doesn’t often appear in news stories, but it’s the crucial concept behind China’s latest efforts to use social media to target its foes.

Recent stories have ranged from Meta’s “Biggest Single Takedown” of thousands of false-front accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Substack to an effort to spread disinformation about the Hawaii fires to a campaign that used AI-generated images to amplify divisive U.S. political topics. Researchers and officials expect similar efforts to target the 2024 U.S. election, as well as in any Taiwan conflict.

Chinese government and military writings say cognitive operations aim to “capture the mind” of one’s foes, shaping an adversary’s thoughts and perceptions and consequently their decisions and actions. Unlike U.S. defense documents and strategic thinkers, the People’s Liberation Army puts cognitive warfare on par with the other domains of warfare like air, sea, and space, and believes it key to victory—particularly victory without war.

Social media platforms are viewed as the main battlefield of this fight. China, through extensive research and development of their own platforms, understands the power of social media to shape narratives and cognition over events and actions. When a typical user spends 2.5 hours a day on social media—36 full days out of the year, 5.5 years in an average lifespan—it is perhaps no surprise that the Chinese Communist Party believes it can, over time, shape and even control the cognition of individuals and whole societies.

A recent PLA Daily article lays out four social-media tactics, dubbed “confrontational actions”: Information Disturbance, Discourse Competition, Public Opinion Blackout, and Block Information. The goal is to achieve an “invisible manipulation” and “invisible embedding” of information production “to shape the target audience’s macro framework for recognizing, defining, and understanding events,” write Duan Wenling and Liu Jiali, professors of the Military Propaganda Teaching and Research Department of the School of Political Science at China’s National Defense University.

Information Disturbance (信息扰动). The authors describe it as “publishing specific information on social media to influence the target audience’s understanding of the real combat situation, and then shape their positions and change their actions.” Information Disturbance uses official social media accounts (such as CGTN, Global Times, and Xinhua News) to push and shape a narrative in specific ways.

While these official channels have taken on a more strident “Wolf Warrior” tone, recently, Information Disturbance is not just about appearing strong, advise the analysts. Indeed, they cite how during 2014’s “Twitter War” between the Israeli Defense Force and the Palestinian Qassam Brigade, the Palestinians managed to “win international support by portraying an image of being weak and the victim.” The tactic, which predates social media, is reminiscent of Deng Xiaoping’s Tao Guang Yang Hui (韬光养晦)—literally translated as “Hide brightness, nourish obscurity.” China created a specific message to target the United States (and the West more broadly) under the official messaging of the CCP, that China was a humble nation focused on economic development and friendly relationships with other countries. This narrative was very powerful for decades; it shaped the U.S. and other nations’ policy towards China.

Discourse Competition (话语竞争)The second type is a much more subtle and gradual approach to shaping cognition. The authors describe a “trolling strategy” [拖钓], “spreading narratives through social media and online comments, gradually affecting public perception, and then helping achieve war or political goals.”

Here, the idea is to “fuel the flames” of existing biases and manipulate emotional psychology to influence and deepen a desired narrative. The authors cite the incredible influence that “invisible manipulation” and “invisible embedding” can have on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter in international events, and recommend that algorithm recommendations be used to push more and more information to target audiences with desired biases. Over time, the emotion and bias will grow and the targeted users will reject information that does not align with their perspective.

Public Opinion Blackout (舆论遮蔽). This tactic aims to flood social media with a specific narrative to influence the direction of public opinion.  The main tool to “blackout” public opinion are bots that drive the narrative viral, stamping out alternative views and news. Of note to the growing use of AI in Chinese influence operations, the authors reference studies that show that a common and effective method of exerting cognitive influence is to use machine learning to mine user emotions and prejudices to screen and target the most susceptible audiences, and then quickly and intensively “shoot” customized “spiritual ammunition” to the target group.

This aligned within another PLA article entitled, “How ChatGPT will Affect the Future of Warfare,” .” Here, the authors write that generative AI can “efficiently generate massive amounts of fake news, fake pictures, and even fake videos to confuse the public” at a n overall societal level of significance[8].   Their The idea is to create, in their words, a “flooding of lies”” while by the dissemination and Internet trolls to create “altered facts” creates confusion about facts and .   The goal is to create confusion in the target audience’s cognition regarding the truth of “facts” and play on emotions of fear, anxiety and suspicion. to create an atmosphere of insecurity, uncertainty, and mistrust. The end-state for the targeted society is an atmosphere of insecurity, uncertainty, and mistrust.

Block Information (信息封锁). The fourth type focuses on “carrying out technical attacks, blockades, and even physical destruction of the enemy’s information communication channels”. The goal is to monopolize and control information flow by preventing an adversary from disseminating information. In this tactic, and none of the others, the Chinese analysts believe the United States has a huge advantage. They cite that in 2009, for example, the U.S. government authorized Microsoft to cut off the Internet instant messaging ports of Syria, Iran, Cuba and other countries, paralyzing their networks and trying to “erase” them from the world Internet. The authors also mention in 2022, Facebook announced restrictions on some media in Russia, Iran, and other countries, but falsely claim that the company did so to delete posts negative toward the United States, for the US to gain an advantage in “cognitive confrontation.”

Congress is currently considering nearly 50 bills in both chambers that, collectively, would promote significant proliferation of wireless antennas and infrastructure across the country and in space, likely leading to wireless antenna proliferation and/or higher levels of wireless radiation in the environment.

Instead of fast-tracking wireless networks, Congress should ensure it is protecting the public and environment.

Virtually eliminates states’ rights and local authority over communications facilities, allows cell towers to be placed almost anywhere, and exempts most wireless deployments, including all small cells, from the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).

HR 4141: Broadband for Americans through Responsible Streamlining (BARS) Act

Exempts most wireless deployments from NEPA and NHPA (contains identical exemptions as HR 3557)

HR 1338: Satellite and Telecommunications Streamlining Act

Requires FCC to fast-track approvals for unlimited satellite deployments, including over 60,000 applications already received.

“Connect Our Parks Act” creates a plan to increase wireless networks in National Parks.

HR 3565: Spectrum Auction Reauthorization Act of 2023: Renews FCC authority to make additional frequencies available for commercial use

Regulatory Gap: Lack of Federal Oversight:

  • No agency with health or environmental expertise is funded to consider radiofrequency (RF) effects from environmental emitters (e.g., cell towers, small cells, 5G/4G wireless network antennas).
  • No oversight, monitoring, or compliance program exists.
  • No safety regulations exist to protect wildlife, trees or plants, despite evidence of serious harm, with pollinators being uniquely vulnerable.

Outdated FCC Wireless RF Exposure Regulations:

  • FCC RF exposure limits remain unchanged since 1996.
  • No federal agency has conducted a comprehensive review of the current body of science on the health and environmental impacts of wireless RF radiation.
  • Adverse biological effects have been found at levels well below FCC human exposure limits.

The FCC has not complied with the DC Circuit Court order to explain how U.S. RF limits address:

  • impacts on children
  • non-cancer effects of long-term exposure
  • the ubiquity of wireless technology since 1996
  • impacts on the  environment (pollinators, plants and animals)

 

An Unsupported Basis for Bills Fast-tracking Wireless:

  • Pending bills are being promoted under the banners of “streamlining”, “removing barriers to entry”, and “closing the digital divide.”
  • In fact, these bills ignore constitutional protections, conflict with existing federal law, remove states’ rights, and would perpetuate the digital divide.

Increasing RF levels across the country will put people, wildlife, and the natural environment at serious risk of harm. Federal accountability and environmental safeguards are needed before allowing unfettered wireless proliferation.

Solutions:

Instead of fast tracking wireless networks, Congress should ensure the public and environment are adequately protected. Accountability actions include: 

  • Require qualified, independent federal agencies to assess the evidence on wireless impacts and develop science-based exposure limits for humans, wildlife and the natural environment. 
  • Fund the EPA to establish a federal program for nationwide RF measurements, environmental monitoring, oversight and compliance. 
  • Exercise Congressional oversight authority over FCC and its lack of compliance with the DC Circuit order.
  • Encourage deployment of high-speed, affordable, wired broadband to every home in America to bridge the digital divide with infrastructure that is faster, safer, and more secure.

More Evidence Suggests Directed Energy Weapons Caused Fires in Maui

A 1978 Government Accounting Office (GAO) report on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) efforts to protect the public from exposure to low-level radiation was requested by New York Congressmember Elizabeth Holtzman, in August 1977.

 

The potential harmful health effects of low-level radiation were recognized and became a subject of national interest.

 

According to the 15 page report, symptoms attributed to low-level exposure to radiation include, “headache, weariness, dizziness, irritability, emotional instability, partial loss of memory, loss of appetite, cardiovascular effects, electroencephalogram changes, blood chemistry changes, changes in respiration, and possible genetic effects.”

 

Today there are zero agencies monitoring or measuring radiation to protect public health and environmental safety. 

 

Despite the lack of a protective safety standard and the failure of government agencies to stop radiation, individuals and communities everywhere are organizing to establish strong regulatory barriers at the local level to stop radiation deployments, prevent harm, and protect all life.

HR-3557 and HR-4141 are heavy-handed bills with unacceptable federal overreach into local land use, permitting, and franchise negotiations. Congress must respect the local zoning and permitting for wired broadband and wireless telecommunications infrastructure, as intended in prior Congressional Acts, to ensure that such infrastructures are only deployed as and where needed to serve the public interest and protect valuable public resources including safety, health and property.

If H.R. 3557 passes, it could result in a truly unrestricted proliferation of Wireless Telecommunications Facilities (WTFs) of any size in residential zones, near schools, parks, playgrounds, and sensitive care facilities without any local or community input.

Proposed House bills H.R. 3557 and HR-4141 are companion bills that, if signed into law, would establish an unnecessary and massive federal power grab designed to strip away nearly all state and local control in the permitting and review of Wireless Telecommunications Facilities (WTFs).

The bills would eliminate the cooperative federalism and local control principles that were upheld by the US Supreme Court in its 2005 Ruling in Abrams vs Palos Verdes. The bills would also violate the very purposes of the Act they aim to amend: the 1934 Communications Act, as amended in 1996 and 2012: promoting safety of life and property.

In H.R. 3557 , the wireless industry is proposing new expansive definitions of “Antenna“, “Communications Service” , “Personal Wireless Service“, and “Effective Prohibition” of Personal Wireless Service. The bill also attempts to establish unreasonable terms for WTF review and attempts to pre-empt local zoning authority with language like this:

“including with respect to an area that has not previously been zoned for personal wireless service facilities”

  • Agenda 2030’s Sustainable Development Goals are deceptive goals designed to eliminate Americans’ God-given inalienable rights, freedoms and liberties. Don’t be confused by any “pleasant sounding” language in these UN Globalist goals; Agenda 2030 is the inventory and control plan that would create a digital prison in your community.
  • The Agenda 2030 plan requires HR-3557 and HR-4141 to construct a 24/7 wireless surveillance system created by hazardous 24/7 RF-Microwave radiation antennas placed far too close to homes (closer than 2500 feet) at far too high radio signal strengths (more than -85 dBm in areas accessible to people)
  • Agenda 2030 would enable the unlimited taking of personal property/wealth to enrich governments and Globlalist-sponsored public-private partnerships via Digital-ID, Digital Currency and Tracing/Tracking/Control of individuals’ movements and financial transactions.

Yes, it is that bad. We cannot allow this Digital Prison to be built in our communities. Instead, Americans can stand together to eliminate HR-3557’s and HR-4141 in order to preserve:

  1. Americans’ God-given inalienable rights, freedoms and liberties
  2. Local control over the construction of last-mile telecommunications and broadband infrastructure,
  3. States’, counties’ and localities’ rights to decide for themselves the best mix of wired broadband (fiber optic, coaxial and copper lines) and wireless infrastructure.

We must oppose and not comply with any plans or actions that would enable federal, state and local governments to build such a 24/7 wireless surveillance infrastructure in our communities. The vast majority of internet access can and should be provided by fiber optic cables directly to homes and businesses to protect Americans from the public safety, privacy and property value hazards created by a 24/7 wireless surveillance infrastructure grid in residential zones. Wireless Telecommunications Facilities constructed in the public rights-of-ways in residential zones are simply not necessary for broadband.

Also, if we have learned anything over the last three years, NO so-called “pandemic”, “climate emergency” or “fear story du jour” justifies the elimination of Americans’ God-given inalienable rights, freedoms and liberties. We cannot be fooled again.

Americans must stand together to fully oppose HR-3557’s and HR-4141’s attempt to build an “Agenda 2030” Digital Prison.

Proposed bill H.R. 3557 aims to speed up the deployment of wireless and other communications facilities through a massive federal power grab that strips away state and local control in the permitting and regulatory review processes – the very mechanisms designed to protect citizens from the threats posed by wireless facilities.

In May of 2023, the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee passed H.R. 3557 – which completely eliminates the ability of Americans to use State and local governmental authorities to modify placement of wireless antenna facilities based on the safety of life and property, and on aesthetic and historic values.

This is a very heavy-handed example of federal overreach into local land use, permitting, and franchise negotiation decisions. Local people deserve the opportunity to decide whether public investment in, and/or ownership of, broadband infrastructure is the right choice for their communities. Congress must respect the fact that these processes are best managed at the level of government that is closest and most responsive to the people.

Local zoning and permitting for wired and wireless communications build outs, are intended, per prior Congressional Acts, to ensure that such infrastructures are only deployed as and where needed to serve the public interest and protect valuable public resources including safety, health and property.

If H.R. 3557 passes, it could result in a truly unrestricted proliferation of cell towers and small cell installations near schools, playgrounds, and homes without any local or community input.

H.R. 3557 would…

  1. Override state and local government police powers and property rights and would preempt local authority to manage public rights-of-way and land use for telecommunications infrastructure. This represents a substantial federal overreach into the oversight of the placement of wireless facilities on public rights of way, which is a fundamentally local process and must remain so.
  2. Empower providers to install facilities where they choose regardless of local zoning, thus eliminating the ability of local governments to impose reasonable standards.
  3. Weaken the authority of local governments to regulate the use of our public rights-of-way, and diminishes their authority to locally determine appropriate compensation for such use.
  4. Mandate that all wireless siting decisions be “deemed granted” if not denied by a local government within much shorter periods than the federal government for similar projects. The federal government has 270 days to act, while locals must act as fast as 60 days. It is not appropriate for Congress to apply stricter timelines and restrictions on local governments for these processes than it does on federal agencies.
  5. Mandate that sites be constructed “without any further action by the government,” without notice to the local government, or obligation to comply with safety laws. This would provide no public safety protections for construction of facilities that had been “deemed granted.”
  6. Impose artificially short timelines that are virtually impossible to meet, create technical grounds for defeating incompleteness notices and require local governments to draft, publish, and deliver a written denial decision with reasons to an applicant on the same day that the local governing body hears and votes on the application — a virtually impossible task because such written decisions typically require the examination and analysis of evidence presented to local council.
  7. Require that “all proceedings required by a State or local government or instrumentality thereof for the approval of the request” be taken within the timeline.
  8. Limit the fees that local governments could require which, unlike the current FCC rules, the local government must justify based on a complex rate-making formula.
  9. Substitute the FCC for the local federal district court as the reviewing body for challenges to local government decisions regarding wireless facility applications, thus breaking the promise made by Congress in 1996 that local governments would not be required to travel to Washington to defend local decisions.
  10. Impose new and similarly flawed timelines and “deemed granted” remedies on applications for wireline telecommunications facilities
  11. Undermine the property rights of local governments and damage their ability to protect and preserve the safety, well-being, and aesthetics of their communities. Congress has historically recognized these rights in Sections 224, 253 and 332 of the Telecommunications Act.
  12. Make virtually any local government decision not to allow the installation of a proposed wireless facility at a provider’s request a “prohibition” preempted by federal law.
  13. Eliminate cable franchise renewals, thereby restricting the ability of state or local franchising authorities to enforce franchise obligations such as public, educational, and government channel capacity and facilities, customer service requirements, and system build-out requirements.
  14. Grant cable operators the right to use local rights-of-way to provide non-cable services while prohibiting localities from imposing any fees on non-cable services for use of those rights-of-way.
  15. Pre-empt local governments’ rights-of-way compensation and management authority, zoning powers, cable franchising authority, and property rights.
  16. Impose costs on local governments, burdens on our taxpayers, interfere with public safety and otherwise remove local protections that are the heart of communities while offering no improvement in broadband service.
  17. Create unfunded mandates on local governments and inhibit their ability to be directly responsive to residents and good stewards of public resources.
  18. Bestow on broadband providers an unprecedented federal grant of access to state and local public property, but impose no obligations on those providers to serve “unserved” and “underserved” Americans.

The National Health Federation:

Americans are waking up to the assault of constant 24/7 exposure to radio frequency radiation (RFR) from wireless technology installed and being installed in our homes, cars, streets, local businesses, schools, and communities without our informed consent. While many property owners would prefer to restrict wireless facility expansion in residential neighborhoods, past and current legislation has made that extremely difficult for localities.

In Biden’s 2021 infrastructure bill (Public Law No: 117-58), Big Telecom received $65 billion towards the proliferation of unsafe and untested 5G (and beyond) technology without a single mention of safety precautions or even any monitoring of the increase in radiation levels within communities.[1] 

Over 90% of surveyed Americans don’t want wireless technology near their homes.[3]

In 2018, the National Institutes of Health’s National Toxicology Program (NTP) found wireless causes cancer and alters DNA.[4]

When the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended long-term safety studies of the Electromagnetic Frequency (EMF) environmental pollutant, Congress – tragically – defunded that effort.[5]

More recently in 2021, the D.C. Court of Appeals challenged the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for lying about their wireless safety guidelines that were found not to be science-based.[6]

Instead of sitting idly by as America is saturated in wireless deployment, Congress needs to hold hearings on Big Telecom’s concealment of wireless health and safety dangers, and pass NHF-recommended legislation to initiate the monitoring of wireless radiation that will trigger mitigation measures when permissible RFR exposure levels are exceeded.[10]

Americans want affordable and safe wired connectivity in their communities, and Congress urgently needs to hold hearings about why we’re getting unsafe and untested wireless instead.
