Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you automatically opt-in to saving your display name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register/subscribe on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile and on the subscriber form. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We will retain your personal information on our systems only for as long as we need to, for the success of the JDfor2024 Zero Affiliation program and all programs that support JDfor2024.com. We keep contact information (such as mailing list information) until a user unsubscribes or requests that we delete that information from our live systems. If you choose to unsubscribe from a mailing list all your data will be removed from the subscriber database.
JDfor2024.com is not able to delete personal data from any system logs or records necessary to the operation, development, or archives of the JDfor2024 website administration.
JDfor2024 is not responsible for deletion of data from comments or other publicly displayed potentially personally identifying data. The responsibility falls on the individual to completely scrub their existence from the site(s). If that data is to be deleted you may search for your comments and delete those comments.
When in the process of subscribing he email address will only remain in a temporary database for 60 days after the subscription process has been initiated and will be deleted at the end of the 60 day confirmation period. (See GDPR below.)
What rights you have over your data
Suggested text: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments will be checked through an automated spam detection service local to the website server. It is not sent to other service locations or to other service servers.
How we use your data
We will not sell or lease your personal information to third parties. We may send you email marketing communication which may be of interest to you from time to time, if you have consented to marketing. You may opt out of marketing at any time. As of September 1, 2022 JDfor2024 does not intend to send marketing messages. If this should change you will have the option to enroll.
You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email will direct you through the appropriate option for opting out of marketing once marketing is available.
GDPR
JDfor2024 will utilize GDPR procedures in collecting any personal data. Double Opt-in email verification will be utilized and requires that the subscriber confirm the email address prior to receiving our regular newsletters or other email. JDfor2024 may send a reminder from time to time to a potential subscriber who has not completed the process of confirming the email address to prompt for confirmation. The email address will only remain in the temporary database for 60 days after the subscription process has been initiated and will be deleted at the end of the 60 day confirmation period.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, JDfor2024.com may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at JDfor2024.com’s sole discretion. JDfor2024.com encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy.
